The Handyman Group Overberg franchise, situated in the Hermanus Gateway Centre, officially opened on the 15th January 2007.
This operation is owned and managed by George Edwards.
George has spent 23 years teaching with the last 7 years as principal of Overberg High School in Caledon. Not only was George in the teaching profession but he was also dealer principal of BP Laing Toyota for 3½ years.
As school principal and dealer principal George has over the years was been extensively involved in numerous building projects as the project manager. George by his own admission admits that he has an absolute passion for building and loves to restore old buildings.
George lives in Caledon and is married to Angelique, a teacher at Overberg High School in Caledon, and has 3 sons.
Rouxmé Kruger, George’s office manager worked for Standard Bank for 12 years as a client services consultant. Rouxmé lives in Kleinmond and is married with 2 children.
